Significant for universities that monitor trace studies
Based on scientific principles and theoretical foundations of observation of graduates' employment, in order to identify the job situation and the skills needed for jobs, please put four years later graduates on tracking. Therefore, it is advisable to comply with the call deadline for graduates to complete the online questionnaire and refrain from sending a recall for graduates of the last three years.

According to the notification of the Director General of the Office of Industrial Relations, Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, with the number 3/194186 dated 14 Nov 2017, we announce to all users that it is necessary first to register in the network site, and after studying the contents of the site, chose and perform any of the tracking methods.

The First Workshop

The first workshop on “Graduates Trace Study” was held by the research team members from Institute of Research and Planning in Higher Education, at Lorestan University


This workshop, which was held on 19 November 2019 at the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences of Lorestan University, was dedicated by the Vice Chancellor for Education and Postgraduate Studies of Lorestan University, and the directors of educational and graduates and entrepreneurship offices of Lorestan universities were participated. At first, Miss. Maasumeh Gharun, deputy director of management development and resources of the institute and project manager, explained the theoretical issues and worldwide experiences of the survey of the employment status of graduates; then she explained the history of surveying the employment status of graduates in Iran. At the final session, Mr. Iman Jebeli, IT expert of the institute, explained the registering process in the “IRANTRACE Network” and using the educational content and technical services which would be provided for universities representatives. Finally, Mr. Hojjat Alaei, another member of research team, illustrated some of the results of tracking in national data bases and also the independent surveys of universities by online questionnaires in the Tableau interfaces. The final part of the workshop was dedicated to the questions and answers of the participants.

The Second Workshop

The second workshop on “Graduates Trace Study” was held by the research team members from Institute of Research and Planning in Higher Education, at Zanjan Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences


This workshop, which was held on December 10, 2019, was dedicated by Dr. Rashid Zare Nahandi, vice president for education and the directors of educational and graduates and entrepreneurship offices of many higher education institutions of Zanjan were participated. At first, Miss. Maasumeh Gharun, deputy director of management development and resources of the institute and project manager, explained the theoretical issues and worldwide experiences of the survey of the employment status of graduates; then she explained the history of surveying the employment status of graduates in Iran. At the final session, Mr. Iman Jebeli, IT expert of the institute, explained the registering process in the “IRANTRACE Network” and using the educational content and technical services which would be provided for universities representatives. Finally, Mr. Hojjat Alaei, another member of research team, illustrated some of the results of tracking in national data bases and also the independent surveys of universities by online questionnaires in the Tableau interfaces. The final part of the workshop was dedicated to the questions and answers of the participants.

The Third Workshop

The third workshop on “Graduates Trace Study” was held by the research team members at Institute for Research and Planning in Higher Education


This workshop was held on December 31, 2019, and the directors of educational and graduates and entrepreneurship offices from 17 Iranian universities were participated. At first, Miss. Maasumeh Gharun, deputy director of management development and resources of the institute and project manager, explained the theoretical issues and worldwide experiences of the survey of the employment status of graduates; then she explained the history of surveying the employment status of graduates in Iran. At the final session, Mr. Iman Jebeli, IT expert of the institute, explained the registering process in the “IRANTRACE Network” and using the educational content and technical services which would be provided for universities representatives. Finally, Mr. Hojjat Alaei, another member of research team, illustrated some of the results of tracking in national data bases and also the independent surveys of universities by online questionnaires in the Tableau interfaces. The Forth (First virtual) Workshop


The forth (first virtual) workshop on “Graduates Trace Study” was held by the research team members was held on June 10, 2020, with the participation of 24 managers and experts of the Iranian universities. At first, Miss. Maasumeh Gharun, deputy director of management development and resources of the institute and project manager, explained the theoretical issues and worldwide experiences of the survey of the employment status of graduates; then she explained the history of surveying the employment status of graduates in Iran. At the final session, Mr. Iman Jebeli, IT expert of the institute, explained the registering process in the “IRANTRACE Network” and using the educational content and technical services which would be provided for universities representatives. Finally, Mr. Hojjat Alaei, another member of research team, illustrated some of the results of tracking in national data bases and also the independent surveys of universities by online questionnaires in the Tableau interfaces. The Fifth (Second Virtual) Workshop


The fifth (second virtual) workshop on “Graduates Trace Study” was held by the research team members was held on July, August 26, 2020. The workshop was attended by 18 managers and experts of the Iranian universities and in the beginning, Miss. Maasumeh Gharun, deputy director of management development and resources of the institute and project manager, explained the theoretical issues and worldwide experiences of the survey of the employment status of graduates; then she explained the history of surveying the employment status of graduates in Iran. At the final session, Mr. Iman Jebeli, IT expert of the institute, explained the registering process in the “IRANTRACE Network” and using the educational content and technical services which would be provided for universities representatives. Finally, Miss. Fatemeh vasheghani, another member of research team, illustrated some of the results of tracking in national data bases and also the independent surveys of universities by online questionnaires in the Tableau interfaces. The final part of the workshop was dedicated to the questions and answers of the participants.

The First Annual Book of Tracking Results

The first annual book of tracking results, "Monitoring the Employment of Graduates of 2013-2014 Academic Year" published by the Institute of Research and Planning in Higher Education (IRPHE)


This book presents the results of monitoring the employment status of graduates of academic year 2013-2014 in the national data bases, including employee insurance and other registered data, and has been developed in three chapters.
The first chapter contains the definitions and methodology, in the second chapter statistical tables with different distributions can be seen and in the third chapter, geographical maps of the distribution of graduates by the location of their university and the place of employment has shown.

The second annual book of tracking results, "Monitoring the Employment of Graduates of 2014-2015 Academic Year" published by the Institute of Research and Planning in Higher Education (IRPHE)


This book presents the results of monitoring the employment status of graduates of academic year 2014-2015 in the national data bases, including employee insurance and other registered data, and has been developed in three chapters.
The first chapter contains the definitions and methodology, in the second chapter statistical tables with different distributions can be seen and in the third chapter, geographical maps of the distribution of graduates by the location of their university and the place of employment has shown.

The first annual meeting of universities and institutions that monitor the employment status of graduates will be held virtually by the Institute for  Research and Planning in Higher Education on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
