    Institute History

    The Institute for Research and Planning in Higher Education (IRPHE) was established in 1969 to help improve and enhance quality and contents of scientific and educational programs in all educational levels in IRAN. From 1981 to now, the institute continued its activities in four sections as follows:

    • Educational Planning
    • Scientific Policies of Country
    • Library Services
    • Scientific Documentation of IRAN

    In 1990, the development council for higher education in the Ministry of Science (former) put on an agenda to establish an institute to study the development policies of the quantity and quality in higher education in law of the first program of economic, social and cultural development of Iran and thus, the Institute for Research and Planning in Higher Education (IRPHE) took this responsibility.

    The Institute for Research and Planning in Higher Education (IRPHE) organized their activities in line with mandate, mission and goals of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and satisfaction of all stakeholders in higher education.

    The Institute for Research and Planning in Higher Education (IRPHE) is a dynamic, responsive and leading organization in theorizing, modeling and designing the advanced system proportional to Iranian society and culture in the field of planning of higher education in regional level.
