Building Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Universities Workshop held at Technical & Vocational University on 26 November, 2018

This one-day workshop organized and held by Technical and Vocational University cooperating with Institution for Research and Planning in Higher Education, and Iranian Association for Scientific Development. The Resource Person was Professor Yashavantha Dongre Director of Planning Monitoring and Evaluation Board at Mysore University, India. He is a professor of commerce and his area of interest is building entrepreneurship ecosystem in educational institutions.

The Office of International Scientific Cooperation at TVU was responsible for organizing the event and the participants were Chancellors, Deputies and Director Generals for Entrepreneurship and Academia-Industry relation Offices from distinguished state universities across the country.

This event started at 8 by the welcome speech of TVU Chancellor, Professor Ebrahim Salehi Omran, and continued by the first part on “Creating a Concept of Entrepreneurship”. The second part was allocated to “Case Studies” in which two entrepreneurial universities were discussed in terms of their entrepreneurship ecosystem, one totally developed and one developing. The final part was a task based activity. The participants were given some tasks and a limited time to find out the practical strategies to do the tasks. The closing was at 1:00 pm.
